Rye Creek Lodge is located at the southern end of the scenic Bitterroot Valley in western Montana. Rye Creek meanders through 120 acres, providing over a mile of riparian area for moose, elk & deer. Several ponds make the Lodge an oasis in the "high country" of Montana. Granite outcroppings, large ponderosa and numerous aspen provide close-up views while Trapper Peak looms overhead. National forest and the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness area are nearby.

Each cabin is completely furnished with two bedrooms, a large bath and modern oak kitchen fully equipped with silverware, dishes and cooking utensils. A large river rock fireplace in the living room is a focal point for an evening spent relaxing after a day of snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and hunting. Trapper Creek Guest Ranch is located on the West Fork of the Bitterroot River in the south end of the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana. 16 air miles west of the Continental Divide and 3.5 miles east of the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness Area of Idaho and Montana.

We have 8 Wilderness areas nearby. Of course the largest and closest is the Selway-Bitterroot. Others include the Anaconda-Pentler, Frank Church-River of No Return, Bob Marshall, Mission Mountain, Scape Goat, Rattlesnake, and Welcome Creek.

Cabins are furnished with a queen size bed, a queen size hide-a-bed, rusticand antique furniture, all linens, and are fully carpeted. Kitchens are complete with electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, all dishes and utensils. All you need to bring are the groceries and your personal items. If you send us your list we will be happy to do your grocery shopping for you. Each cabin is heated with propane and has a bathroom with a shower.

Alta Ranch features three comfortable, spacious log cabins with wood stoves, clectric heat, complete kitchens, and baths. Cabins can sleep up to eight people. All cabins are fully furnished with towels, bed linens and all kitchen inventory. Pets/horses allowed with management approval. Two nights minimum.
