      THIS AND THAT IN THE YEAR 2008

Michael made his third appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, in the monologue as a customer at Wal Mart who just was shot in the face with multiple price tags from warring price-tag gun wielding clerks.


                     

For his fourth trip over to NBC, Michael was filmed wearing a T-shirt printed with "FLOMAX" to be superimposed in Jay's monologue over a clip of Senator McCain speaking at a rally.

[Flomax is a pill for people with prostate enlargement.]

For his fifth comic bit for Jay, he performed as Mike Wallace.

In August, Michael was filmed as an old-time, famous film director in a commercial for Nikon cameras along with Ashton Krutcher.  Below Michael celebrates with four of the female stars of the commercial.

                                        


THIS AND THAT IN THE YEAR 2007

Michael made his second appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, in a comedy skit advertising pregnancy kits for senior citizens. 

Michael was the co-lead with Mickey Rooney in the short Xmas film "Wreck the Halls."

Emerald Nuts commercial with Michael as the crazy grocer, in its series of commercials titled "Egomaniacal Norman," was re-run.

Dr. Amazing's third book, SEX WITH DR. AMAZING - SOLVING BEDROOM PROBLEMS, was published.


THIS AND THAT IN THE YEAR 2006

Michael appeared in the film "Bobby" - about the assassination of Bobby Kennedy.

Michael appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, acting as Dan Rather.

Dr. Amazing answered questions on sex and bedroom problems from people all over the world on his website www.helpingdoctors.com

Dr. Amazing retired from performing hypnosis stage shows to write his third book, SEX WITH DR. AMAZING - SOLVING BEDROOM PROBLEMS.  This book was published in 2007.  Autographed copies can be reserved now.


THIS AND THAT IN THE YEAR 2005

Michael started off the year with appearances in two short films and a music video.

Short films: 

Prescription for Time
in which Michael was an energetic centenarian living life to its fullest - walking on the beach during sunset, laughing and dancing.

Artistic License in which Michael was a lighthearted old man who had seen lots of life and knew how to have fun.  He was applying for his driver's license.

Music Video:  Ten G Bob's first video features Michael as a gentleman picking up his date,  enjoying the boardwalk on the Santa Monica Pier, fishing in the Pacific, walking on the beach, and then, as the sun sets, watching the band play its song "Every Day" on a peak in the Hollywood Hills overlooking the city of Los Angeles.

THIS AND THAT IN THE YEAR 2004

In January, Michael performed and danced in a commercial for Mars Bars for European viewing.

In April, American Express filmed him in a commercial seen as a preview in movie theatres.

In December, Emerald Nuts filmed him as the crazy grocer, in its commercial "Egomaniacal Norman" for a new line of nuts.

One week later, Buffalo Exchange starred him in its commercial for its line of clothing.


THIS AND THAT IN THE YEAR 2003

Dr. Amazing was the star guest on the Anna Nicole show on E! Entertainment.  The taping lasted three hours and Dr. Amazing dazzled Anna Nicole, her family and the television crew with his performance of the Magic Square memory act and his memorization of all the pages of a Wired magazine.  He then proceeded to hypnotize Anna Nicole and gave her many supportive suggestions, including weight loss.  The episode was one of the first to be seen nationwide on cable at the start of Anna Nicole's second season.


THIS AND THAT IN THE YEAR 2002

Along with the usual steady diet of hypnosis shows during the first half of the year, June sparkled with two 3-hour memory improvement seminars held for Boards of Education in Sacramento and Riverside.

In February, 2002 MTV's second highest rated show, "Dismissed," hired an entire theatre and filmed Dr. Amazing hypnotizing the three participants on the show.  This was aired mid-April, 2002.

In March, 2002 Dr. Amazing was filmed as the star in a commercial for MAACO - auto repair and paint stores found throughout North America.   He performed as a retired race car driver in a wheel chair racing with other disabled driver retirees, crashing into them, and then crashing into Burt Reynold's car.   This will be seen on all the networks over the next two years.

The music video Kryptonite still was being shown by MTV, and just about every teenager in America with access to a TV now is familiar with Dr. Amazing's face.


THIS AND THAT IN THE YEAR 2001

Repeat lectures on hypnosis and memory at Cerritos High School; hypnotizing 40 teenagers at the state meeting of FHA-HERO with over a thousand in the audience; and taping a television segment for producer Harrison Held are some of the highlights early in 2001.

Dr. Amazing's costume as Kryptoman is enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.  Pretty good for a guy who can't carry a tune.

Armand Van Helden's new techno/disco music video featuring Dr. Amazing as himself débuted on October 7, 2001 at the Cypress Hill "Smoke Out" in San Bernardino, California.  In 2000, 43,000 attended the concert.  With the video shown throughout Europe and America at concerts, dance clubs and exercise gyms, Dr. Amazing became the King of Music Videos.  


THIS AND THAT IN THE YEAR 2000

Dr. Amazing filmed a commercial for the World Wrestling Federation and Jaack's Pacific Toys with "The Big Show" - a 7'2",  500 pound,  star wrestler with the WWF.  Dr. Amazing is Dr. Frankenstein in the commercial, and it was aired nationally starting in February, 2000.

On February 7, 2000, Dr. Amazing hypnotized a couple for the UPN t.v. show "Blind Date."  It was aired the first week of May and again in December.

In January, 2000, Dr. Amazing was featured in two half hour Media One cable films.  He was interviewed on the program "Women of Prominence."    Subjects discussed were hypnosis and memory improvement.

Dr. Amazing's two books "Hypnosis Induction Technics" and "How Not To Forget" were  keeping the printers busy meeting the demands for them.

On March 10th Dr. Amazing appeared on the live broadcast of KKBT - AM, Los Angeles, at the Sun Theatre in Annaheim and hypnotized a group of guests for hosts Dr. Dre and Ed Lover.

On March 18 and 19, Dr. Amazing was filmed as Kryptoman, the superhero, in the music video "Kryptonite" for 3 Doors Down.   The video was shown daily throughout the year 2000 on MTV, HV1 and Much Music (Canada).   Clips of Kryptoman were shown at the Billboard's Annual Awards Show.   "Kryptonite" received a Grammy nomination.

On March 29th Dr. Amazing lectured to three psychology classes at Cerritos High School.  He discussed hypnotism, performed two memory feats and demonstrated his hypnotic method.

During the summer of 2000, Dr. Amazing presented memory improvement seminars for the Fresno Convention Center and for Brooks College in Long Beach in addition to hypnosis shows for these sponsors.

In November 2000 Dr. Amazing was interviewed for half an hour by Skip E.  Lowe for both cable and TV.  Skip had been interviewing Hollywood stars for 22 years.

Dr. Amazing finished off the year 2000 with three hypnosis shows in one week at Venice, CA, Greenwich, CT and Lodi, CA.
