NBCCH was formed in 1991 as an independent certification body for mental
health and healthcare professionals practicing clinical hypnotherapy. The
Board is made up of 14 members drawn from many parts of the country. To date
close to 3900 professionals have been certified by NBCCH. There are three levels
of certification; NBCCH, NBCCH-Diplomate and NBCCH-Fellow. Sixteen independent
training organizations throughout the USA refer their graduates to NBCCH.
